People-watching is best along the cobble-stoned "El Conde,"
one of the oldest streets in the Western Hemisphere, and
perhaps the longest mall in the Caribbean.

oceanfront boulevard that runs the length of Western Santo
Domingo, features exquisite dining, gambling at the city's
top seaside hotels, and some of the hottest nightspots in
